Leal Carvalho, Instruindo estudantes em Pontal do Sul, durante o  evento {Aldeia da Paz}, dos dias 18-28/02 onde o Udiyana Bandha esteve presente realizando suas vivências musicais nas rodas de Harmonizações,  nas rodas das fogueiras e Orações.  na tenda de cura e tambem a novidade {na hora do  OM}, na deradeira vez, a partir da metade…entoar ascendentemente todos juntos>>> ficou muito legal!***

Na parte  musical do Festival na Aldêia da PAZ, cantamos bastante junto com nossos irmãos-ãs  &  a nossa querida  familia Aquariana marcou presença, e varios artistas tmb contribuiram… dispostos a vibrar Amor e elevar a frequencia do Planeta.  Saimos de la com o Coração repleto  desse Amor, e com saudades de dez dias muito auspisiosos,  que so se igualou aos melhores eventos que nossa  FamiliAquariana promove!,Na certeza que estaremos juntos de novo em qualquer edição da Aldêia Da Paz.  {GRATIDÃO} aos organizadores do evento, especialmente ao M.Mandala, Luis Felipe, Renata, Vania, ao querido cruzinheiro  Angelo Prestes{anjo} que cuidou da cozinha viva, com brotos de grãos, saladas coloridas, yougurts sem[lactos, cebola e alho]. aos estudantes de Matinhos, e todos que vieram de Curitas e arredores.  Um dos pontos altos da  Aldêia  foram as construções!, todas de Bambu, em forma de Yurtes, Tipis, Iglues, Geodésicas & Tendas Galacticas., tecnicas essas trazidas pelo nosso querido Marcos Mandala e equipe. Aho***

Namaste !, então este ano fomos participar do  Trigéssimo Sexto ENCA, realisado em ARATUIPE, BAHIA,primeira semana de Julho… perto da Ilha de Itaparica, NAZARÉ das Farinhas, e da Costa do Dendê.

O ENCA na Bahia foi uma delicia, tirando a chuva dos primeiros dias, os escoregões inevitaveis nos caminhos de lama, tivemos mais de mil pessoas assinando o livro!!! Aconteceram varias rodas maravilhosas, de Musica, de Arte, do Rango no fogo central a comida esteve deliciosa e a {Mãe do ENCA} Marise, Guaraqueçaba. coordenou uma auspiciosa turma de voluntários que foram bem prestativos sempre que solicitados, um dos unicos itens que não funcionou direito foram os cagadores secos, precisamos evoluir bastante para dar conta desta eterna função, ou senão aprender a viver de Luz.  

    Bahia é nossa India! até sincretei=> BAINDIA…voltamos pela Chap Diamantina, Capão, Terra Ronca, Chap. dos Veadeiros, Alto Paraiso, Brasilia, Pirinopolis*** Muito Bom*** e agora  em São Paulo, preparando para irmos ao FICA em São Thomé das Letras agora em Set. Em Novembro estaremos em Brasilia ARTiculando varias apresentações. Em SP tmb. NAMASTASÊ

Udiyana Bandha has just come back from Scandinavia:  We  performed conserts in Sweden, at  Helungen’s {Retreat Center}, in Oslo, Norway at the Mela Festival, twice at the MS Invic,  Prem Baba,s  retreat  in  Espelden, near Lillehammer, a moutainous region north of Oslo and the farewell consert at the Tai Chi Center.  Plus Recordings at the Urban Sound Studio, by Wuante Music, produced by Fernando Sallum.

In Australia, we played varias gigs in Byron Bay, Belongil, and recording sessions at  The SAE institute {Sound and Audio Engenearing}.   The unfortunate episode, about the destruction of the Sitar, by the IBERIA -BA, baggege system, hopefully will be settled,  Iberia,s Idemnization department has confirmed that it will re-enburse Udiyana,s  Sitarist, with there maximun standard limit. which wo,nt be enough but at least we can purchase another Sitar and continue to perform with our main instrument. So to our friends and fans we wish you all the best!, and may 2011 be a wonderfull year full of fullfilments and happiness!

This is one of the last fotos of this fantastic Sitar that was perfectually tuned and had a superb tone, but unfortunatelly was crunched to little pieces, on our trip back to Brasil from Europe. The Altar on the picture was organized by my son Leif Stuart who is studying in Byron Bay Australia, at the SAE  {Sound & Audio Engeneering Institute}. Udiyana Bandha recieved its name from an ancient Kingdom in India, were Tantra started…Uddiyana also noun as Urgyan or Shamballah, The location remains a mystery, some say it was close to the Kashimir region, the truth is that Guru PADMA SAMBHAVA, was born in Uddiyana, {Uddi-Elevated} {yana-path} and this special Yoga Asana is considered one of the most important, The Gheranda Samhita states that “who ever practices this Asana, overcomes Death, the bird of vitality in us is pushed up elevating consciensness”.

.Udiyana Bandha is a {Zen New Wave} Group from the Central Plateau of Brazil, that creates a different type of acoustic music which is a fusion of harmonic melodies with various tendencies like, India’s Ragas and Mantras mixed with Brazilian’s northeastern rhythms, blending vocals with woodwind solos, you can also listen to Gui’s dancing afrobeats, Thomas’ guitar solos, Chandra’s virtuose’s kalimbas and vocals, Vinicius’ keyboards and acoustic 10 stringed guitar{viola caipira}, and Leal’s beutifull voice and songs, not to mention Marcelo C. Bernardes superb contribution, with his arsenal of wind instruments on all of Udiyana Bandha,s five CD,s. 

 There’s also a whole other side:  Their lyrics talks about  spiritual passages and ecological orientations, bringing also love themes that seem to flow out from the Tantric Yoga Culture.
